Kei Ito, MD, PhD Kei Ito was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1971. He received the medical degree and the Ph. D degree from the Tohoku University at Sendai city, in 1996 and 2010, respectively. Since 1998, he begun his career at Sendai City Medical Center as an expert endoscopist in the field of pancreatobiliary diseases. Dr. Ito is a member of lots of medical societies including the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES), American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), and so on. He was awarded the JGES prize in 2005. Up to 2012, he wrote more than 100 original and review articles regarding diagnosis and therapy of pancreatobiliary diseases.
